Four Covid-19 related fatalities were reported at the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Sunday morning (Sep 26).

With this, 150 people died of Covid-19 at the corona unit of RMCH from September 1 to till date.

Of the deceased, two were the residents of Chapainawabganj, while one each from Rajshahi and Kushtia districts, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.  

Among the deaths, two tested positive for Covid-19 while two others had symptoms, he said.

Besides, 17 more patients were admitted to the designated Covid-19 wards of the hospital in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of admitted patients to 114 against 240 designated beds for the positive cases.

Twenty-two patients returned home from the RMCH Covid-19 unit as they recovered during the time, Yazdani added.
