A Dhaka court has placed Evaly CEO Mohammad Rassel on a one-day remand in a case filed over embezzlement with Dhanmondi police station.
The court, however, sent his wife and Evaly chairman Shamima Nasrin in the same case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Hasibul Haque passed the order on Tuesday.
Earlier in the day, the investigating officer of the case SI Najmul Huda sought a seven-day remand for Rassel and his wife Shamima Nasrin after producing them before the court following the completion of their three-day remand in a fraud case.
On September 16, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested them in a case filed with Gulshan Police Station for allegedly embezzling customers' money.
