Seven Covid-19 related fatalities were reported at the Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) in the last 24 hours till Monday morning (Sep 20).

With this, 127 people died of Covid-19 at the corona unit of RMCH from September 1 to till date.

Of the deceased, three were the residents of Rajshahi, while two were from Naogaon and one each from Chapainawabganj and Natore district, said RMCH Director Brigadier General Shamim Yazdani.  

Among the deaths, two tested positive for Covid-19 and six others had symptoms, he said.

Besides, eighteen more patients were admitted to the designated Covid-19 wards of the hospital in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of admitted patients to 124 against 240 designated beds for the positive cases.

Nineteen other patients returned home from the RMCH Covid-19 unit as they recovered during the time, Yazdani added.
