The voting to 160 Union Parishads (UPs) across the country is underway as voters cast their ballots to elect new public representatives there.

Besides, the sixth phase voting is also being held in 9 postponed municipalities on Monday. 

Starting at 8:00am, the EVM voting will go on till 4:00pm today (Monday) without any break.

EC sources said the election will be held in compliance with the health rules.

Earlier, the EC had postponed the elections due to the surge of the coronavirus outbreak.

Candidates of Awami League, Jatiya Party and other parties are contesting this year's UP elections.
