Global Covid death toll tops 4.19m, caseload over 196m

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 196.03 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 4.19 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Wednesday (July 28, 2:45pm Bangladesh Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 196,033,222 and 4,194,205 respectively.

Besides, a total of 177,717,708 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 35,353,923 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 627,351 people have died and 29,571,434 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 19,749,073 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 551,906 have died and 18,466,822 recovered.

In India, 31,484,605 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 422,054 people have died and 30,663,147 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 2,771,846 have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 239,079 died and 2,171,095 recovered from the disease.

In Peru, 2,106,371 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 196,058 have died.

In Russia, 6,195,232 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 156,178 have died and 5,547,529 people have recovered.

In UK, 5,745,526 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 129,303 patients have died and 4,470,224 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,325,046 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 127,995 people have died and 4,126,741 people have recovered. 

In Colombia, 4,747,775 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 119,482 people have died and 4,526,917 people have recovered.

In France, 6,026,115 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 111,695 patients have died and 5,682,970 patients have recovered.

In Argentina, 4,875,927 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 104,352 patients have died and 4,519,922 people have recovered.

In Germany, 3,766,482 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 92,078 patients have died and 3,649,100 have recovered.

In Iran, 3,758,197 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 89,479 patients have died and 3,291,979 patients have recovered. 

In Indonesia, 3,239,936 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 86,835 patients have died and 2,596,820 people have recovered.

In Spain, 4,368,453 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 81,323 have died and 3,701,195 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,882,327 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 75,249 patients have died and 2,653,407 people have recovered.

In South Africa, 2,391,223 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 70,388 patients have died and 2,180,494 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 1,194,752 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 19,779 people died and 1,022,414 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
