Planning Minister M A Mannan's mobile phone, which was snatched from his car in the capital 51 days ago, has finally been recovered.

Dhaka Metropolitan Police's Ramna division recovered the mobile phone, said Iftekhairul Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Media and Public Relations at Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).

Police also arrested four people, including the snatcher of the planning minister's phone, he said.

Mentionable, the planning minister got stuck in a traffic jam at Bijoy Sarani in Dhaka in the evening on May 30.  At that time, the minister was talking on his phone rolling down the windows of the vehicle. A mugger abruptly snatched the phone of the minister and quickly fled the scene.

The policeman pursued the thief but could not catch him, the minister said.

A general diary was filed with Kafrul police station on the same day.
