A Bangladeshi man was reportedly shot to death by the Indian Border Security Force along Aditmari border in Lalmonirhat district on early Wednesday (July 14).

The incident took place near No. 220 main pillar of Mahishtali border under Bhelabari union of the upazila.

The deceased was identified as Subal Chandra Barman, 35, son of Pelku Ram Barman of village Falimari of Aditmari upazila.

According to locals and Border Guard Bangladesh, a patrol team of BSF Raninagar Camp opened fire on a group of cattle traders inside Indian territory while they were returning Bangladesh along with cattle this morning, leaving Subal dead on the spot and two others injured.

Later, BSF took the body with them, he added.
