Bashundhara Group, the country’s largest business conglomerate, distributed relief items among 500 distressed families at Joar Sahara in Khilkhet of the capital on Tuesday.

As part of corporate social responsibility, Bashundhara Group has stood by the poor and destitute in the critical situation caused by Covid-19 pandemic.

The Group has been carrying out relief operation in various northern districts for a couple of weeks. It will gradually reach out to the insolvent people in all districts of the country.

Accordingly, Bashundhara Group distributed relief items and masks among helpless and hapless at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in the capital.

ICCB chief operating officer MM Jasim Uddin inaugurated relief distribution at the ICCB premises.

Speaking on the occasion, MM Jasim Uddin said “We have been conducting relief work across the country as per directive of Bashundhara Group Chairman Ahmed Akbar Sobhan. Shuvasangha, social organisation of the daily Kaler Kantho is distributing the relief among distressed people. Many people have become unemployed due to corona pandemic. They are receiving the relief.”
