Global COVID-19 death toll tops 3.88m, caseload over 179m [photo collected]

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 179.30 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.88 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Monday (June 21, 5pm Local Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 179,306,972 and 3,883,238 respectively.

Worldwide Covid-19 deaths are rising once again, especially in India. 

Besides, a total of 163,865,093 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 34,406,001 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 617,166 people have died and 28,711,315 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 17,927,928 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 501,918patients have died and 16,220,238 recovered.

In India, 29,935,221 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 388,164 people have died and 28,844,199 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 2,477,283 have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 231,187 died and 1,971,470 recovered from the disease.

In Peru, 2,029,625 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 190,425 have died.

In Russia, 5,334,204 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 129,801 have died and 4,878,333 have recovered.

In UK, 4,630,040 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 127,976 patients have died and 4,301,985 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,252,976 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 127,270 people have died and 4,037,996 people have recovered. 

In France, 5,757,311 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 110,738 patients have died and 5,556,586 patients have recovered.

In Colombia, 3,945,166 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 99,934 people have died and 3,667,161 people have recovered.

In Germany, 3,730,115 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 90,966 patients have died and 3,605,200 have recovered.

In Argentina, 4,268,789 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 89,043 patients have died and 3,890,213 people have recovered.

In Iran, 3,095,135 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 82,965 patients have died and 2,748,320 patients have recovered. 

In Spain, 3,757,442 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 80,652 have died and 3,544,205 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,878,840 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 74,829 patients have died and 2,650,648 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 8,56,304 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 13,626 people died and 785,482 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
