Police have recovered the bodies of three members of a family from a house at Muradpur area of Kadamtoli in Dhaka on Saturday.

The deceased are identified as Masud Rana, 50, his wife Moushumi Akhtar, 45 and daughter Jannatul 20.

Police, however, arrested Mehzabin Moon, another daughter of Masud Rana, on allegation of poisoning her parents and sister to death.

Moon's husband Shafiqul Islam was admitted to Mitford Hospital in critical condition while their daughter is out of risk, said Officer-in-charge (OC) Jamal Uddin Mir to Banglanews.

They might be killed by applying poison, he also said.

An investigation by Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police is underway to identify the reason of the three murders.

Police also detained a man in connection with the incident.
