Global coronavirus death toll tops 3.37m, caseload over 162m [photo collected]

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 162.55 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.37 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Saturday (12pm Bangladesh Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 162,550,085 and 3,371,856 respectively.

Worldwide Covid-19 deaths are rising once again, especially in India. 

Besides, a total of 140,436,790 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 33,664,013 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 599,314 people have died and 26,712,821 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 15,521,313 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 432,785 patients have died and 14,028,355 recovered.

In India, 24,372,907 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 266,229 people have died and 20,432,898 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 2,377,995 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 220,159 died and 1,897,587 recovered from the disease.

In UK, 4,446,824 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 127,668 patients have died and 4,273,441 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,146,722 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 123,927 people have died and 3,683,189 people have recovered. 

In Russia, 4,922,901 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 115,116 have died and 4,537,634 have recovered.

In France, 5,848,154 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 107,423 patients have died and 5,042,411 patients have recovered.

In Germany, 3,585,891 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 86,481 patients have died and 3,275,500 have recovered.

In Colombia, 3,084,460 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 80,250 people have died and 2,888,990 people have recovered.

In Spain, 3,604,799 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 79,339 have died and 3,297,340 patients have recovered. 
 
In Iran, 2,732,152 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 76,433 patients have died and 2,196,197 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,849,014 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 71,311 patients have died and 2,589,277 people have recovered.

In Argentina, 3,269,466 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 69,853 patients have died and 2,913,144 people have recovered.

In Peru, 1,879,049 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 65,608 have died and 1,720,665 have recovered.

In South Africa, 1,608,393 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 55,124 have died and 1,522,878 have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 779,535 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 12,102 people died and 720,471 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
