Global coronavirus death toll tops 3.35m, caseload over 161m [photo collected]

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 161.84 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.35 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Friday (1:00pm Bangladesh Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 161,847,825 and 3,359,032 respectively.

Worldwide Covid-19 deaths are rising once again, especially in India. 

Besides, a total of 139,676,309 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 33,626,097 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 598,540 people have died and 26,667,199 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 15,436,827 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 430,596 patients have died and 13,979,329 recovered.

In India, 24,046,809 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 262,350 people have died and 20,079,599 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 2,375,115 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 219,901 died and 1,895,483 recovered from the disease.

In UK, 4,444,631 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 127,651 patients have died and 4,258,298 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,139,160 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 123,745 people have died and 3,669,407 people have recovered. 

In Russia, 4,913,439 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 114,723 have died and 4,527,878 have recovered.

In France, 5,841,1129 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 107,250 patients have died and 4,999,079 patients have recovered.

In Germany, 3,575,644 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 86,276 patients have died and 3,259,000 have recovered.

In Colombia, 3,067,879 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 79,760 people have died and 2,874,656 people have recovered.

In Spain, 3,598,452 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 79,281 have died and 3,297,340 patients have recovered. 
 
In Iran, 2,722,007 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 76,231 patients have died and 2,179,890 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,845,762 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 71,021 patients have died and 2,584,751 people have recovered.

In Argentina, 3,242,103 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 69,254 patients have died and 2,891,435 people have recovered.

In Peru, 1,873,316 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 65,316 have died and 1,720,665 have recovered.

In South Africa, 1,605,252 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 55,012 have died and 1,520,878 have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 778,687 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 12,076 people died and 719,619 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
