The government has a plan to extend the ongoing lockdown or restriction on public movement countrywide for another week due to presence of Indian variant of coronavirus or Covid-19.

State Minister for Public Administration Farhad Hossain informed journalist in this regard on Tuesday afternoon. 

He said that Indian variant was found in the country and it is matter of concern. 

To contain the spread of infection, the decision will be revealed on May 16, Farhad Hossain said.
