Bangladesh Railway will operate eight goods-laden trains during this period, said Minister Nurul Islam Sujan.
As all passenger trains will remain suspended from Wednesday (April 14) due to weeklong strict lockdown, only eight trains will transports agricultural products and commodities.
The Minister made the disclosure at a press conference at Rail Bhaban on Tuesday.
The trains will be operated on Dhaka-Chattogram, Dhaka-Sarishabari, Chattogram-Sylhet and Khulna-Dhaka routes.
Bangladesh is set to go into a strict lockdown from tomorrow (April 14) to tackle coronavirus situation.
