No meeting, rally at mosques before and after prayers

The government on Wednesday imposed restrictions on holding rallies and meetings before and after times of prayers at mosques and other places of worships to contain the alarming rise of the coronavirus infection in the country.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs on Wednesday issued an emergency notification in this regard.

The ministry said that the Tarabi prayers will be held following social distance and health guidelines.

Earlier on April 5, the Ministry prohibited Sehri and Iftar at mosques in Ramadan in an effort to contain the surging coronavirus infection.

The ministry in the notice also issued instructions on praying in congregations at mosques following the health rules put in place by the government.
