Malaysia immigration department detained 205 undocumented migrants including some Bangladeshis on Friday in a raid at an apartment in Pudu district in the country.
The raid was conducted at 11.30pm (local time) following complaints from local residents, said Kuala Lumpur Immigration Department director Hamidi Adam.
He also said they were picked up for overstaying and not holding any employment documents, he told reporters after the operation.
Most of the arrestees aged between 20 and 49 comprising Bangladeshis, Indonesians, Myanmar nationals as well as Nepalese were working at construction sites around Kuala Lumpur city area.
Hamidi Adam said among the arrested migrant workers, the highest number of 94 is from Indonesia, eight from Myanmar, four from Bangladesh and the rest from Pakistan.
