The 41st Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) preliminary examination will be held on 19 March while the 42nd BCS examination has been slated for 26 February. 

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) made the announcement following a meeting at the commission on Wednesday afternoon.

PSC Exam Controller (Cadre) Nur Ahmed confirmed the matter.

The 41st preliminary test will be held in all centres in Dhaka, Chattogram, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh at once from 10am-12pm on March 19.

PSC issued the 41st BCS exam circular on November 30, 2019 for recruitment into 2,166 vacant cadre posts. 

On the other hand, preliminary test for the 42nd special BCS will be held in Dhaka centers from 3pm-5pm on February 26. 

Around 2,000 doctors will be recruited through the special BCS. More than 31,000 applications have been submitted for the special 42nd BCS.
