Kaler Kantho celebrates 11th anniversary

Kaler Kantho, country’s popular and leading Bangla daily, has stepped into 12th year of its journey with a fresh pledge to uphold the spirit of liberation war towards developing non-communal Bangladesh. 

As a media entity of East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL), Kaler Kantho started its journey on January 10, 2010 with the slogan ‘Complete truth, not partial’.

Flanked by journalists and employees, Kaler Kantha Editor and Director of EWMGL Imdadul Haq Milan cut a cake at the conference room of the daily's office in Bashundhara Residential Area of the capital around 12:45 pm on Sunday.

Bangladesh Pratidin Editor and News24 CEO Naem Nizam, Banglanews24.com Editor Jewel Mazhar, News24 Head of News Rahul Raha, Kaler Kantha Editorial Board members Mostafa Mamun, Munir Rana, Mahbubul Huq, Kazi Hafiz, Ali Habib, Masud Rumi, among others, were also present on the occasion.

At the program, Kaler Kantha Editor and Director of EWMGL Imdadul Haq Milan said: "We want to go much further in the next 12 years. Twelve years is a long time and we want to move forward in smalls steps so that every year we can achieve something more."

Like the previous years, the daily has chalked out limited programmes to celebrate the 11th anniversary of founding.

Earlier on Saturday, Bashundhara Group Managing Director Sayem Sobhan Anvir inaugurated the celebration cutting a cake at his residence at Bashundhara Residential Area in Baridhara of the capital.

Kaler Kantho Editor Imdadul Haq Milan and Director of EWMGL, Mohammad Golam, Chief Coordinator of Bashundhara Group Managing Director, and senior journalists of the daily were also present on the occasion.
