Two people were killed in a head-on collision between a tractor and a motorcycle at Parmathurapur village in Harinakunda upazila of Jhenaidah on Sunday morning.

The deceased are-- tractor driver Tulu Hossain, 20, son of Humayun from Basudevpur village of the upazila, and motorcyclist Shakil Hossain, 21, son of Azizul Huq from Chandpur village of the same upazila.

Harinakunda police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Rahim Molla confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said a Harinakunda-bound tractor collided with the motorcycle coming from opposite direction in the area, leaving tractor driver dead on the spot and motorcyclist Shakil injured.

Later, locals took the injured to Jhenaidah Sadar Hospital but he succumbed to his injuries on the way to Faridpur Medical College Hospital, said the OC.
