Two youths were killed and three others injured after two motorcycles collided head-on in Jhikargacha upazila in Jessore on Friday afternoon.

The accident took place in Balla village around 3:00 pm.

The deceased are- Hossain Ali, 20, son of Aslam Ali from Baisha village of the upazila, and Noyon Hossain, 19, son of Bilwal Hossain from Sonakur village of the same upazila.

Of the injured, two are in critical condition. 

Jhikargacha police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdur Razzak told Banglanews: "The five of them were riding on two motorbikes. The collision left two dead on the spot and three others injured."

"The bodies were sent to Jessore 250-bed general hospital morgue. The injured were admitted to the same hospital and are currently undergoing treatment. Two of them are in critical condition," the OC added.
