Two people were killed and three others injured in a head-on collision between a bus and a CNG-driven auto-rickshaw in Daganbhuiyan upazila of Feni on Friday morning.

The accident took place on Daganbhuiyan-Basurhat road around 8:00 am. 

The deceased are- Jakaria, son of Solaiman from Phulbari, and Ainul Haque, son of Bachchu Mia from Netrokona.

Imtiaz Ahmmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of Daganbhuiyan police station, confirmed the matter to Banglanews.

He said the incident occurred when a passenger bus of ‘Dreamline’ Paribahan collided with the auto-rickshaw from Feni leaving two passengers of the rickshaw dead on the spot and three others injured.

The injured were rescued and admitted to Feni 250-bed General Hospital, the OC added.
