Three workers were killed after falling from an under construction multi-story building adjacent to Dhaka Ahsania Mission office in the capital’s Dhanmondi area.

The incident occurred around 11:30 am on Monday, said Dhanmondi police.

One of the deceased was identified as Shariful, 25, while two others remain unidentified till filing the report. 

Dhanmondi police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Ikram Ali said the workers were standing on a small wooden platform hanging outside the 10th floor of the building when the accident occurred. All of them fell on the ground when the platform broke.

“One of the workers died from the fall on the spot while two others were severely injured. They died after being taken to the hospital,” the OC added.
