The director general level talks between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) began in Dhaka on Thursday.

The four-day conference started at 10:45am at the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) headquarters in Pilkhana.

A 13-member Bangladesh delegation, led by BGB Director General (DG) Major General Md Shafeenul Islam, is attending the conference. On the other hand, BSF DG Rakesh Asthana is heading the six-member Indian team participating at the conference. 

The conference will conclude with the signing of a Joint Record of Discussions (JRD) at 8:30am on September 19.

The conference was scheduled to take place on September 13 but was postponed as the BSF delegation could not reach Dhaka in due time.
