DHAKA: A truck helper, who sustained burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on his vehicle in Bogra’s Char Matha intersection on January 23, lost his battle for life at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) early Friday.
The victim was identified as Jahangir Hossain, 30, hailed from Nishchintapur village under Kahalu upazila of the district.
DMCH police outpost in-charge Mozammel Haque told banglanews that the ill-fated helper succumbed to his injuries around 3:30am at the intensive care unit (ICU) of the burn unit of the hospital.
Earlier in the night of January 23, Jahangir along with the truck driver Masud, sustained severe burn injuries as miscreants hurled a petrol bomb at the truck in Bogra Char Matha area.
They were admitted to DMCH where Masud is still undergoing treatment.
