CHITTAGONG: Metropolitan police on Thursday replaced Officers-in-Charge of two thanas of port city along the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) of Detective Branch.

Sources told banglanews that a Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) Commissioner order made the changes this night in a bid to add more efficiency in checking violence.

According to the order, metropolitan police ADC (west) SM Tanvir Arafat replaced M Hasan Chowdhury as the additional deputy boss of Detective Branch.

On the other hand, city’s Bandar Thana OC Zahedul Islam and Chandgaon Thana OC Sayed Abdur Rouf have also been transferred to the DB.

However, Jashim Uddin and Shairul Islam, two former DB officials, filled up the vacant places respectively.
