SIRAJGANJ: A housewife was electrocuted at Bilgajaria village in Sadar upazila Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Chaina Begum, 25, wife of Abdul Momin of the village.

Witnesses said China came in contact with a snapped electric wire while cutting banana leaves nearby her house at about 7am, leaving her dead on the spot.
Inspector Abu Raihan of Sadar thana said the body was sent to hospital morgue for autopsy.
