Miscreants have set fire to the District BNP temporary office, and residence of BNP's joint secretary general Khairul Kabir Khokon in Narshingdi. 

This incident happened at Chinishpur area of Narsingdi around 5 pm on Wednesday (May 31).

However, two units of Narsingdi Fire Service reached the spot and doused the fire.

According to locals, a group of miscreants vandalised the windows and furniture of all rooms. At that time, they exploded some cocktails inside and set fire to all rooms.

Police are working to find out whether the incident was planned or not and whether there is any connection with recent clash between two groups of the district BNP in which two people were killed, according to police source.

Narsingdi Fire Service Senior Station Officer Abdul Mannan Anshari confirmed the matter.

Every room and furniture in the house was burnt, and no one was harmed in this incident, he said.
