The metro rail will run from 8am to 8pm, six days a week, from Wednesday (May 31).

As per the new schedule, the weekly closure of the service will be Friday, instead of Tuesday. 

Managing Director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) MAN Siddique told the media at a press briefing on May 18. 

During the designated peak hours, from 8am to 11am, trains will arrive at the stations every 10 minutes in both directions.

Earlier, the metro rail was operated from 8am to 2pm.
