Bashundhara Group today (May 29) distributed Tk 8,000 among 250 families each as they were affected by the devastating storm 'Mocha' in Teknaf.

The financial assistance was provided at Sarkar Bari police outpost ground in Shahpari Dwip Bazarpara on Saturday (May 27) afternoon.

Fariha Yasmin, Member of Ward No. 7, 8 and 9 of Sabrang Union Parishad, said this humanitarian initiative by the Bashundhara group is appreciable.

Former Joint Secretary Nazir Ahmad, Yahya Group Chairman Mohammad Yahya, Teknaf Upazila Project Implementation Officer Subir Kumar Dutta, Kaler Kantho Special Representative Tofail Ahmad, Anti-Corruption Committee President Master Zaheed Hossain and Sabrang Union Awami League President Sona Ali were present at the event.
