A fire that broke out in a luggage factory at Mongla EPZ has been doused on Wednesday (Feb 1) afternoon.

Eleven firefighter units brought the fire under control after 24 hours of frantic efforts.

However, no injuries or causalities were reported.

Deputy Director of Khulna Fire Service and Civil Defense Mamun Mahmud confirmed the matter.

The firefighters managed to fully douse the fire around 3pm, he said.

On Tuesday, the devastating fire broke out at VIP-1 luggage factory around 3:30 pm.
