Police recovered the bodies of two women inside the victims' house at Kedarpur in Barishal's Babuganj upazila.

The deceased were identified as Lalmun Nesa, 95, mother of former union parishad member Delowar Hossain and his daughter-in-law Ripa Akhter, 23. 

Besides, Delwar's wife Minara Begum, 55, are currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Babuganj.

Babuganj Police Station OC Mahbubur Rahman confirmed the matter on Thursday (Jan 26) morning.

According to locals, the OC said neighbours entered the house of Delwar Hossain at 11pm on Wednesday getting no response from inside. Later, they found the trio in an unconscious state.

They rushed the three women to a local hospital where the on-duty doctors declared Lalmun Nesa and Ripa Akhter dead.

After visiting the spot, police said that the incident might occur during the robbery.
