A motorcyclist was killed after a truck hit in Rajshahi on Friday (Dec 9) afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Kamruzzaman Rubel, 32. 

The accident happened at Bamanshikar intersection of Kharkhari bypass in Rajshahi.

According to eyewitnesses, a truck coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle around 12:30 pm, leaving Rubel dead on the spot.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Motihar Police Station Anwar Ali Tuhin confirmed the matter.

He said the body has been recovered and sent to the Hospital morgue. 

Besides, efforts are on to identify the vehicle and its driver. A case will be lodged in this regard with the respective police station, he added.
