The fire broke out at a shoe shop in Chawkbazar area of Chattogram on Tuesday night.

Two fire service units with four vehicles rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.

Senior station officer of Chandanpura Fire Service Md Shahidul Islam confirmed the matter.

He said: "Around 12:15 am, I got the news of a fire broke out in a shoe showroom in Chawkbazar." 

Later, four vehicles from Chandanpura and Nandankanan fire stations reached the spot and brought the fire under control within an hour, he said. 

The cause of the fire and the damage will be known after the investigation, the official added.
