The High Court (HC) today (Nov 22) withdrew its earlier order that granted bail to one Shoaib Ahmed, an alleged member of banned militant outfit Ansar-al Islam, in an anti-terrorism act case.
A High Court division bench comprising Justice Md Kamrul Hossain Mollah and Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman passed the order today.
Deputy Attorney General Emran Ahmed Bhuiyan said the High Court on November 20 had granted bail to Shoaib Ahmed.
He said: "The state decided to appeal against the order and had filed a note in this regard. Today the matter again came on the cause list and the High Court withdrew its earlier order."
A team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-3 arrested Shoaib Ahmed and Hujaifa Ahmed from village Boyra under Kotwali Police Station in Mymensingh on August 27, 2021.
RAB-3 DAD Md Feroz Khan filed the case with concerned police station the next day.
