A youth was killed when a human hauler, locally known as votvoti, hit his motorcycle in Naogaon's Mahadevpur on Sunday (Nov 20).

The deceased was identified as Mominul Islam Sweet, 26, son of Habibur Rahman, who hailed from Rajshahi of Baraban village.

The accident happened around 10:00 am at Dohali on Satihat road of the upazila.

Mahadevpur police station officer-in-charge (OC) Mozaffar Hossain confirmed the matter.

He said Mominul was going to his relative's house with his motorcycle. On his way, he was hit by the votvoti coming from the opposite direction, leaving him dead on the spot.

Members of police went to the spot and recovered the body, he said, adding the body will be handed over to relatives after the legal process.
