A man was killed and ten others were injured in a clash between two groups of villagers over establishing supremacy at Gazariakandi under Raipura upazila in Narsingdi district on Saturday (Nov 19).
The clash began in Gozariakandi char area on Saturday morning.
The deceased was identified as Azgar Mia, 55 of the village.
Deputy Inspector (SI) of Raipura police station Md Nasir confirmed the matter.
He said the body was sent to Narsingdi Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem.
Besides, police have been deployed at the spot to bring the situation under control, he added.
Locals said the clash took place between the supporters of Shah Alam, former Sreenagar Union Parishad member and Raipura unit Jubo Dal, and Abdul Khalek, present union parishad member and union Awami League Present, over establishing supremacy.
