Police arrested a suspected drug peddler with a gun in a drive at Banshkhali of Chattogram

The arrestee was identified as Saiful Islam, 32.

Members of Bashkhali police station conducted the drive around 3:30 am in the East Bailgao Karigar Para area of Sadhanpur Union on Wednesday (Nov 9).

Sadhanpur UP Chairman AKM Salauddin Kamal confirmed the matter.

Saiful is a known drug dealer who was spoiling the youth of the area, he said, adding there was a warrant against him in a case. 

"We tried to nab him several times. Earlier, huge quantities of drugs had been recovered from his den," Salauddin added.
