A cleaner of Dhaka South City Corporation died today (Nov 10) morning after a truck ran him over in Jatrabari.

The deceased was identified as Sekandar Ali (50), from Gaibandha.

Mazharul Islam, officer-in-charge of Jatrabari Police Station confirmed the matter. 

Mazharul Islam said that the truck hit the victim when he was travelling to Staff Quarters on a rickshaw-van this morning.

“Police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue,” he added. 

Mazharul Islam further said that I got the information that both the truck driver and helper detained by Demra police station.

“We are investigating the matter," he said.
