The police arrested two youths with two indigenous weapons from Bhedarganj Upazila of Shariatpur on Wednesday (Nov 9).

The youths were identified as Sabbir Dewan, 24, son of Nazrul Dewan of Mymensingh district, and Sohag Khan, 25, son of Mainuddin Khan of Chandpur district.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sakhipur Police Station Asaduzzaman Howladar confirmed this matter around 4:30 pm.

He said locals informed the police station that two suspicious youths were roaming around in the west Balakandi area. Later, a drive was conducted and they were arrested along with two domestic weapons. 

A case has been lodged against them with Sakhipur police station and they were sent to jail through the court, he added.
