DHAKA: The second batch of Chinese medical supplies for Bangladesh to battle the coronavirus pandemic reached Dhaka on Thursday (March 26) afternoon.

The supply arrived in Dhaka from Kunming, China, through a special aircraft of the Chinese government at around 4:30pm.

The Chinese government sent the medical supplies, including test kits, personal protection equipment (PPE), and other materials, as a token of friendly gesture.

The supply include 10,000 test kits, 10,000 PPE, and 1000 infrared thermometers.

In its first batch of supplies provided to Bangladesh, China had sent 500 medical kits to detect the coronavirus infection.

Earlier, the Bangladesh government sent some medical equipment, including masks, to China during the coronavirus outbreak in Wuhai City of Hubei province.
