DHAKA: Police recovered the throat-slit bodies of two sisters and rescued their mother with burn injuries from a residence in Dakshin Goran area in Uttara of the capital on Saturday (March 7).

The deceased were identified as Alvi, 11, and Jannat, 6, daughters of Mozammel Hossain Biplob and Akterunnesa Popy.

Officer-in-charge of Khilgaon Police Station Moshiur Rahman said police recovered the bodies of the two girls from a residence in Dakshin Goran area around 8:30 am.

He also said there were marks of burn injures on the bodies of the two sisters while their mother was rescued and sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital with burn injuries.

The woman might attempt to commit suicide after killing her daughters, the OC primarily suspected.
