CUMILLA: Indian Border Security Force (BSF) picked up three officials of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and two of their informers from Aashabari border in Cumilla on Thursday.
According to local sources, three members of the RAB along with two informers went to raid a house adjacent to the Pillars of border on Thursday to recovered drugs. At that time, BSF picked them up from the border line.
Inspector of Cumilla District Police's Special Branch (DIO-1) Mahbub Morshed said, "We have learned that the BSF picked up three members of CPC-2 of RAB-11 and two of their informers."
A flag meeting is expected to take place shortly to bring them back.
They were in RAB’S jackets when they crossed the border line, he said.
Additional Superintendent of Police (Cumilla South circle) Abdullah Al Mamun said, "I have heard the incident. I know that the flag meeting is in progress”.
