DHAKA: Detectives on Thursday (Oct 10) arrested another accused Amir Hossain Toha in BUET student Abrar Fahad murder case.
He was picked up from Mawna area of Gazipur around 3pm, Masudur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Dhaka metropolitan Police, told Banglanews.
The 11 no. ejahar-listed accused is being taken to office of Detective Branch of Police, he added.
Abrar Fahad, a second year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of BUET was allegedly beaten to death at his dorm Sher-e-Bangla Hall early Monday (Oct 7).
The body of Fahad was found lying between the first and second floors of Sher Bangla Hall.
Later on that day, police arrested 10 BCL leaders of its Buet unit over the alleged involvement in the killing of fellow student Abrar Fahad.
On Tuesday (Oct 8), a Dhaka court placed ten leaders of BCL on a five-day remand and fixed November 13 for submission of probe report of the case filed over the murder of Abrar Fahad.
