DHAKA:  Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said India tour was successful and Bangladesh gained so much from India.

AK Abdul Momen claimed that Bangladesh is in a ‘Win Situation’ over Feni River.

Foreign Minister was chairing a seminar organized by ‘Diplomats’ magazine at a city hotel on Wednesday (October 9).

AK Abdul Momen said: “This year's India tour was the most successful one. We got a lot from this tour, especially our children will go there (India) for training, importing gas from abroad and will be sold to their country. Thus, one selling point is created and relation between the two countries is strengthened.”

When asked about the Feni river water, Momen said many people are spreading rumors about it and you (media) are promoting it. India used to get water before, from Bhutan. Now it has become a legal form. It's been good for us.

As regards foreign policy, he said one of the strong pillars of foreign policy is maintenance of neutrality. Never to merged into a coalition.

“Many people asked me how we maintain good relations with India and China. The answer is bilateral relations. They do have issues, but those are their issues. We don’t get involved in them,” the minister also said.
