DU students protest BUET student Fahad’s murder

DHAKA: Students of Dhaka University (DU) on Monday (Oct 7) staged demonstrations on their campuses demanding punishment of the killers of BUET student Abrar Fahad.

DU students, led by DUCSU Vice President Nurul Haque Nur, held a protest rally at the base of Raju sculpture around 12.30 pm.

Chanting slogans they demanded exemplary punishment of the killers as soon as possible so that no such incident can take place in future. 

After the rally the students brought out a procession that paraded the main points of the university and ended in front Sher-E-Bangla hall of Buet.

Abrar Fahad, a second year student of Electrical and Electronic Engineering of BUET was allegedly beaten to death at his dorm Sher-e-Bangla Hall early Monday.

The body of Fahad was found lying between the first and second floors of Sher-e Bangla Hall.
