BARISHAL: Some 81 dengue patients have been admitted to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital (SBMCH) in last 24 hours, hospital sources said.
With that 346 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at the hospital on Wednesday (August 14). Of them, 181 are men, 91 are women and 70 are children.
Out of 81 newly-admitted patients, 44 are men, 30 are women and seven are children according to SBMCH source.
Of the dengue-afflicted 230 patients till Tuesday, 65 have got discharged from hospital after good recovery over the last 24 hours. Of them, 48 are men, seven are women and rests are children.
"No dengue patients have died over the last 24 hours since Tuesday (August 13)," said SBMCH director Dr. Bakir Hossen.
A total of 994 dengue fever patients have been admitted to SBMCH from July 16 to Wednesday (August 14) morning. Meanwhile, 648 people have been discharged from the hospital and four died due to dengue.
