Unapproved drone flying banned in Dhaka

DHAKA:  The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) imposed a ban on drone, saying that flying of drone is not allowed without taking permission from the authority in Dhaka.

This information was disclosed through a press release, signed by DMP commissioner Asaduzzaman Mia on Tuesday (August 13).

“It has recently been observed that some individuals or groups are flying various types of drones  for the purposes of recreation or capturing photo or some unknown reasons without seeking due permission from the authorities.  The Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) is entitled to give permission for flying drones,” the release said.

“Flying of drones without authorities’ permission is a punishable offence. Besides, unapproved drone flying creates panic among the city dwellers,” the released said.

“Unapproved drone flying is banned in Dhaka city for maintenance of public security,” DMP said.
