DHAKA: Former Information minister Mizanur Rahman Shelley passed away at a city hospital due to brain hemorrhage on Monday (August 12). He was 76.
Mizanur, also political analyst and writer, was admitted to Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) on June 25 after he fell ill.
His body has been kept at mortuary of Shamorita Hospital, said his grandson Mahfuz Mizan.
Mizanur will be buried at Azimpur graveyard after his son comes from aboard.
He was also chairman of the Centre for Development Research and a bureaucrat in governments of Pakistan and Bangladesh. He also acted as chairman of The Bangladesh Times Trust.
