DHAKA: Bangladeshi workers can be sent to Malaysia through all legal recruiting agencies under government to government (G2G) Plus contract.
Moreover, the Malaysian government is also positive towards appointing workers through calling visas.
The decisions were made in a meeting between a Bangladeshi delegation and Malaysian authority in Kuala Lumpur on Tuesday (Sep 25).
Later Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Ministry issued a notification in this regard.
According to the notification, a five-member delegation led by Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc held a meeting with Malaysian Human Resource Minister Kula Segaran on Tuesday.
It was decided in the meeting that workers can be sent to Malaysia through all legal recruiting agencies of Bangladesh under G2G Plus contract. Moreover, the Malaysian government has friendly attitude towards regularizing the irregular Bangladeshi workers who are staying there.
The G2G Plus contract for sending Bangladeshi workers to Malaysia was introduced on February 18 in 2016.
