CHATTOGRAM: A flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines made an emergency landing at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chattogram immediately 20 minutes after its take-off from the same airport, following a technical malfunction.

Sarwar E Jaman, manager of the airport, told Banglanews that the Kolkata-bound Dash-8 flight took off from the airport at 10:30am Tuesday (May 15).

A problem in the plane’s pressurization system was detected at 10:40am.

“An aircraft can’t fly too high if this sort of technical glitch happens”

Therefore, it landed at the same airport at 10:50am, he added.

However, the flight is expected to take off for Kolkata, by 6:00am, the airport manager said further.
